Creek routes

In the surroundings of Merano you'll find about 80km of routes that don't include altitude gaps and pass through centuries-old wine hills and apple plantations. We recmmend you to use the pblic transport to reach these routes and avoid using you own car.
Here our tips:

• “Maiser Waal”: a stretch of 9 km will take you from Merano (near Castel Planta) to the Passirio valle. In order to walk with the sun in front of you take the Passirio bus and start the route in Saltusion, near the Hirzer cable car. It is a 2 and 1/2 hour walk.
• “Waalweg” Merano / Quarazze toward Lagundo / Tell, 6 km, takes about 2 hours
• “Waalweg” from Tell to Lana, 13 km, 3 ½ h circa
• “Waalweg” Brandis: from Golfclub Lana Brandis to Lana di Mezzo, ca. 3 km, 1 hour
• “Waalweg” Scena: starting 200 m the Merano 2000 cable car station, on the left side of the cable car, it ends above Scena, at the Taser cable car station. It's 8 km long and takes about 2 hours.
• “Waalweg” Caines: you better use your car for this one. It starts at the Ungericht restaurant, you can walk in a circular direction towards the Longfall refuge and take the undergoing path for walking back.
